Top 10 Paul’s in The History of the Universe
You read the title of the article, you should understand where this is going.
10 Paul Revere
Mostly a fictional character with zero actual clout. When I was in 8th Grade, we watched a 2-part movie about him, but I missed school during the second part, so I never saw him do anything cool. Just a simp, really.
9 DJ Pauly D
This one goes unsaid.
8 Michael Cera as DJ Pauly D
These photos give me so much joy.
7 Paul Mccartney
He was part of a band called… *checks notes* … The Beatles?
In all sincerity, I’m more of a George Harrison guy.
6 Chris Paul
One of the all-time greatest point guards in NBA history.
5 Aaron Paul
If you have never watched Breaking Bad, finish this article, and then go watch it. Aaron Paul is a legend.
4 Cliff Paul
One of the best insurance salesman in US history. Has saved people loads of money.
3 Paul Rudd
From Clueless to Anchorman to Ant-Man, Paul Rudd is a national treasure who refuses to age.
2 Paul Pierce
Future NBA Hall of Famer. Was nicknamed The Truth, which is badass. He also won a Championship for the favorite team of the #1 ranked Paul.
1 Paul Butler
It was never even a question of who would be in 1st, only who would trail him. Paul Butler is one of the most kind, welcoming, and generous people in the MTV Challenge/Challenge Mania community. When I met Paul in person for the first time, it was Las Vegas in 2019. I had traveled there by myself, and to be honest, while I was having fun, I was a bit bored and lonely (I had also already lost a decent chunk of money at the blackjack table). Then in the night, I got to meet up with Paul, and another internet friend for Dinner, and my trip became instantly better. He and I talked about so many different things, from our love of the Challenge, to sports (mostly baseball), to music, and just so much more. My trip was made instantly better due to Paul. He also fed me chicken strips the next day, and since I had taken substances, those chicken strips tasted like the best thing I ever had in my life. Paul can talk to you about anything, and more importantly, he is an active listener who makes people feel welcome. That’s just my story, and I’m probably only the 87th Biggest Paul fan in the Challenge community.
Paul has more Challenge Maniac of the Years awards than everyone on this list combined in terms of accolades. He also had a massive battle with COVID that almost took his life, and in the end, Paul came out on top, and he is going to thrive going forward. It pains me that one of the nicest humans I’ve ever met had to go through that, but I am proud of Paul for all the awareness he has brought to others about the dangers of something as serious as COVID and what it can do to a human. The guy is an absolute fighter who brings joy to other people. I’m not even saying this from a place of bias because if bias were involved, Michael Cera as DJ Pauly D would’ve been ranked 2nd. It is currently Paul’s birthday, and thus if you have the opportunity, wish this man a Happy Birthday.
