Challenge War of the Worlds 2 Trailer Breakdown

I will be breaking down the trailer of the Challenge War of the Worlds 2 as I do every season. There are no spoilers in this article that you won’t figure out by watching the trailer super slowly. YES, there are spoilers, but they are spoilers via inference. I hope you enjoy.

I’m skipping the first 10 seconds as it’s mostly content from last season. The first kinda real footage is inconsequential shots of Thailand followed by a long-distance shot of the cast walking into what is likely one of the first challenges of the season.

We get one cool shot and that is of the elimination arena which reminds me of the Fortress from Invasion.

Wes calls the British Challengers “Chicken Shits” or “Cheeky Shits” or “Cheeky expletive”. I love Wes, but his ego is definitely bigger than usual following his stellar performances on the Champs vs Stars spin-offs and War of the Worlds.

Note: I infer Wes is calling the Brits an expletive due to the fact they are all wearing Camouflage jerseys. Meanwhile, US competitors have Black jerseys that are eerily similar to the ones worn during Champs vs Pros. In the first photo here, you can see Georgia, Rookie Nicole, Cara, Nany, Theo, Bear, and I think Kayleigh. In the other it looks like a big group of Challengers leaving the challenge of that day.

We get close-up photos of the show’s biggest stars. We get three American stars in Cara, Paulie, and Kam. It is balanced out with three British stars in Bear, Georgia, and Kyle. They end with Bananas, because of course they do. We also find out there will be ONE winning TEAM vying for 1 MILLION DOLLARS.

We get an action shot of what looks like a giant game of Hall Brawl. If I had to guess, the players have to run through each of the hallways before getting to their respective finish-lines. In the second photo, you can see Bear’s name on one of the helmets. Curiously, he is facing someone in a UK jersey.

There is a sound byte of Georgia saying she has the strongest alliance she’s ever had. Considering she’s played two seasons, it’s not the highest of bars to beat. There’s a cut of Joss, Rogan, and some other men all muddy and awaiting to run into a mudpit. It is reminiscent of the same challenge they had last season where Zach infamously threw Wes a ball. We then get a shot of Turbo who has a Challenge mouth guard. Does anyone else wish they could buy a Challenge mouth guard? Then there’s a shot of Zach, Jordan, and Nany. It’s nice to see three people who were the faces of the mid 20s seasons of the Challenge.

We get a generic 1 second clip of a Paulie confessional which they really could put anywhere. Then a shot of Jordan, Nany, and Ninja in the water carrying a rickshaw like object(?).

There is a daily challenge set in the jungle where players seem to be running back and forth and it does get physical. Some have flags and others do not. I wonder if this is one giant game of capture the flag.

As I mentioned earlier, there is a mud pit challenge this season. In the second photo, Ninja, Cara, and Kayleigh are fighting for a ball. In the first photo it is two final individuals going at it. In the background you can see: Ashley, Theo, Rogan, Joss, Zach, Paulie, CT, Josh, Ninja, and I believe Kam. The rest are a bit hard to decipher.

There is water challenge where players have to hold on to an apparatus. It reminds me of the episode of Spongebob where he and Patrick play hookie. There is a shot of players shooting balls out of a slingshot, reminiscent of the first daily following the opening Purge on Dirty 30. You can see Tori, Josh, Bananas, and Kam in the shot.

CT gets into a fight with Josh. Maybe he feels the need to assert his dominance after losing early the previous two season. Regardless, he looks to be in much better shape this season.

Someone diving for the bell in a Hall Brawl type game. Could be Bear or someone else with a short name.

Wes decides he wants to tackle rookie Idris. It does not goes as planned. Wes is back in shape, but he’s also a mid 30 year old 170 lb day jobber — he can’t step to a 26 year old Boxer like that.

MTV is invested in Georgia as a face of the show. In one shot she is throwing water in Bear’s face (he likely deserves it). In the other, she is drenched in what is likely an elimination. It reminds me of the elimination between Paula/Evelyn and Aneesa/Robin from Rivals 1.

Okay, now I feel bad for making fun of Wes in my two previous blurbs. I really do love him and hope he’s safe!

We get another glimpse of the capture the flag challenge with Zach and Bananas in it. Then a shot of Leroy in what looks a tight rope/upper body arms challenge. I don’t think Leroy was in the trailer of the previous two seasons he was in, so I’m happy we get to see him.

There is a small glimpse of two males, one white and one black wrestling in elimination in maybe Balls In. They both have the camo UK jerseys.

Cara Maria battles water for the hundredth time.

I think Zach gets lifted into the air in Knott’s Berry Farms newest ride. His shoe falls off. Usually you have to pay extra for that type of entertainment.

I have no idea what this is other than I’m guessing player have to find a way to the other side. I’m thinking it’s a bunch of walls with pegs in them, similar to a ninja warrior type course. What’s weird is you can’t see any of the challengers watching, except for one far away on the ground. I’m guessing that person fell immediately.

This looks like the challenge where Leroy was pulling onto a rope. It looks as though Kam is his partner and they have failed the daily together.

Another obstacle course, except on water. One player succeeds while the other goes for a dip. I wonder if they had to meet in the middle and started on opposite sides.

Theo is in this trailer quite a bit. Look out for him this season.

The final shot is this exhilarating challenge. It looks like players have to jump and attempt to latch a hook onto a zipline that will likely put them closer to a finish line they will swim to (I THINK). This is a cool and terrifying challenge. In the second photo, the girl jumping fails to latch on.
