Saucy. That is what comes to mind when looking at the team of Kam and Melissa. The girls debuted last season on Vendettas and were major hits with the fans for various reasons. Kam pulled off one of the great all-time rookie campaigns by winning three eliminations against strong competitors en-route to a finals appearance. Melissa had a more controversial appearance as she stirred up drama, hooked up with Nicole, and flirted with the whole house. Together they are an inexperienced pair whose potential is exponential. The duo is almost like a wrestling tag team, big (Kam) and little (Melissa), good (Kam) and evil (Melissa), hot (Kam) and hot (Melissa).

Introducing the Rivalry: The rivalry is one fight that occurred on Vendettas last season.

Some slut-shaming here, some body-shaming there, in the end, they are now a team ready to compete on this season together.

Player Vitals:

Kam Williams: 23 years old, 5'7, Seasons: 1, Finals: 1, Highest Finish: 3rd overall female Vendettas, elimination record (3–0)

Melissa Reeves: 25 years old, 5'7, Seasons: 1, Finals: 0, Highest Finish: 12th Place Vendettas, elimination record (1–1)

Team Skills and Physical Strength: Kam is a good competitor who possesses a beast within herself named Killa Kam. She is not the tallest girl, but Kam is built like a warrior. Her calves alone could snap girls like Britni and Natalie in half. Melissa is not built like Kam at all, she is maybe a little bit taller than Kam, though her two legs are the size of one of Kam’s. Yet, she makes up for it with her speed and the fact she is willing to fight dirty to win. Ask Sylvia, she took a few cheap shots from Melissa during their elimination on Vendettas. I do not condone playing dirty, but if you are willing to play dirty to win, good for you. The two girls are polar images of one another and that is what makes them perfect. They could end up last place in a challenge just as easily as they could end in first place. A volatile team is much more interesting to watch than some of the floater teams on this season.

Real talk: as strong as Kam was in her eliminations last season, she failed in almost every daily challenge after the first one of the season (soap pit). She is not a strong swimmer and she does not good with heights (yet). Those sound like small things, except the show has many heights related challenges and usually one swimming challenge every season. However, she barely trained for Vendettas. Now that she knows what she is getting into, expect a much improved Kam. Likewise, Melissa was out early last season. This season she knows what she is getting into. All of the British players who returned look like they are all in much better physical shape as well.

SSMP (Social, Strategic, Mental, and Political) Game: On paper, they are a theoretically good social team. People love Kam, she is a fun girl and a caring friend. Kam walks in with pre-existing alliances like her Dolphins (Kailah, Sylvia, Marie). She was on Are You The One? with Derrick and participated on Champs vs Stars with Shane, CT, and Tori. The problem is Kam is lacking a true #1 and #2 whom she can rely on at all times. She had that in Leroy on Vendettas, this season, she needs to forge those relationships or make her existing relationships stronger. Melissa is a flirt and a temptress who can seize power with her seductive abilities. Her problem is if you flirt with everyone then you find yourself not really getting anywhere and you gain possible unwanted attention. Her relationship with Nicole on Vendettas was smart in theory as she manipulated a power player, her actions thereafter were dumb and made her public enemy #1. Melissa needs to recede back and Kam needs to be more direct.

Puzzles are something we need to see both complete in order to understand where they rank among the cast. Strategically, Kam will lead them as she is the obvious alpha in their pair who is ready to give orders. Melissa is the person who will cheat and undercut people, Kam will act as the figurehead.

Eliminations & Winning Potential: Kam proved she can win any type of elimination going against anyone on Vendettas. She took out a Champion, a finalist, and the person with the most money in the game on Vendettas. She is Killa Kam and people should fear her, even Melissa. Last season, Melissa performed well in her two eliminations. Despite being a petite girl, Melissa is not afraid to fight and will play to win. She will match Kam’s intensity in eliminations.

Can this team win? No. I want to say there is a world where everything rolls the right way and they pull out a win — unfortunately, they are too inexperienced as a pair. Can they make the final? Still too tough when you look at some of the strong teams on this season, though this team might be better by the end of the season.

Kam’s Rating: 87/100
Melissa’s Rating: 75/100

Team Rating: 81/100
