8 Big Brother Players Perfect for the Challenge

With the recent news that four players from Big Brother 18 will be joining the Season 31 cast for MTV’s Challenge, the concept of more players from the franchise joining the fold becomes tantalizing. It’s almost like the fan-fiction of tons of reality fans are finally coming together. We get to see the combination of two major franchises, one being a gigantic network show, and the other being a classic cable syndicate.

So I decided to try my hand at finding the Big Brother players from recent seasons who would integrate the best into the show. I’m looking for the people would bring it from a physical standpoint, and the ones that will bring it in the house. My focus is on the recent seasons in order to narrow the roster of people to choose from, and I figure that the social media generation is who MTV is more geared towards casting anyway. I am also not including the people cast for Season 31 already. Victor Arroyo would definitely make the list if I did, Corey Brooks is a maybe, and Natalie Negrotti/Michelle Meyer would be definite no’s.

Let’s go.

Paulie Calafiore — Big Brother 18

When news broke that Big Brother contestants would be joining the Challenge, Victor Arroyo and Paulie Calafiore were being watched closely by the Vevmo spoiler team under the impression it was Rivals-like theme. Paulie would later post an Instagram story about his injured ankle. We are unsure of whether Paulie was supposed to be on the show instead of Corey, but he would have made an incredible addition on the Challenge. Paulie won five total competitions on Big Brother. To top it off Paulie is a collegiate athlete who played four years of scholarship soccer at Rutgers, his last year as captain, and eventually played a tiny bit professionally in the minors.

Paulie was infamous on BB18 for being a chauvinist douche-bag. On the Challenge he would be with his people (Bananas, Zach, Jordan). Add in alcohol, his abs, and hot girls to hook up with, Paulie would be a stellar casting on the Challenge.

Vanessa Rousso — Big Brother 18

On Big Brother 17, we were introduced to professional poker player, Vanessa Rousso. Today she is recognized as one of the all time great Big Brother players, and one of the greatest losers. Vanessa isn’t the classic image of someone that MTV would want to cast, and the Challenge isn’t the type of show that she might even want to be on. This could be a highly beneficial pair. Vanessa loves to compete. She dominated every aspect of the Big Brother game, social, mental, physical, and political. Vanessa is tied for the second most competition wins in a season, totaling 4 HoH’s and 3 PoV’s.

She is intelligent, and a great speaker. Vanessa would easily be able to find herself the alliance that leverages her into the best position to win on the Challenge. Toss in the fact that she is very athletic, holds together a 5'7 frame, was a great swimmer in high school, and would be an all around force in the game, you have the makings of an elite competitor.

Frank Eudy — Big Brother 14 & 18

During Frank’s original season of Big Brother, he showed too fast to be a competition beast and all around threat in the game. His back was against the wall and he was nominated for elimination every week, or he was a winning competition that granted him immunity. Frank lasted 62 days in the house without ever putting in a vote with the majority, and only got to vote twice in the game despite finishing in seventh place. At 6'2, Frank is a tall glass of water with an athletic pedigree. His father was Sid Vicious, the wrestler, and he displayed his prowess on both of his Big Brother appearances — winning six competitions on BB14, and two on BB18.

Frank is a bit old, yet he’s ready to hook up. And his bod still looks great.

Christmas Abbott — Big Brother 19

The third place finisher of BB19 would have been perfect for the Challenge immediately if she had not broke her foot. Christmas was advertised on BB19 as a Cross-Fit superstar. She was not well-liked by fans on Big Brother, mostly due to people viewing her staying in the game with a broken foot as unfair, and her comments sometimes sounding somewhat anti-women. At the end of the day, Christmas is in great shape, and can kill these competitions. Any strong female athletes are welcomed.

Clay Honeycutt — Big Brother 17

At 6'2 and 200 lbs, Clay Honeycutt is a physical specimen that seems perfectly fit for the Challenge. Yes, he was not the best Big Brother player, didn’t seem the brightest, and couldn’t even make it to the jury. That does not reduce the fact Clay was a starting safety at Texas A&M. He is an athlete who can come in and compete from the jump. Big Brother is a game much bigger on social manipulation and connections, the Challenge is about being able to get along with the biggest names and gaining respect through your work in the missions. If you can be friendly with the best players while proving yourself athletically, you will make it far in the game.

Clay also had a showmance with a woman ten years older than him on his season of Big Brother…Oh the possibilities in the Challenge house.

Liz Nolan — Big Brother 17

If you have not checked out Liz’s Instagram, she’s basically transformed herself into a professional shiller. She models bikini’s and does ads for random products while she goes on trips to places that pay her to take photos at their resorts or make an appearance at their events. Liz was a bit of a surprising competition force on BB17. She took home 3 HoH’s, 1 PoV, and 1 BotB win.

What makes Liz perfect for the Challenge is that she has the desire to be famous, has shown to be willing enough to hook up on national television, and has beef with people already on the show…Liz went to school with Kailah Casillas. When doing an appearance this year with other reality stars, including Cara Maria and Mark Long, Liz talked shit about Kailah on Cara Maria’s Instagram story. With Kailah becoming one of the new stars of the Challenge, bringing on a BB star who has trashed the competitor in the past would make for great drama.

Zach Rance — Big Brother 16

This one might come as a shocker to you, though not every competitor has to be a big athletic threat. Zach was in the top three for America’s favorite player during BB16 for his irreverent humor and rude behavior. He was a bit annoying with his overly cocky attitude for no reason, but that’s what made Zach Rance great. He has kept himself in better shape after leaving the Big Brother house, and would be a Devin-like personality in the Challenge house. Laughs and entertainment matter, it’s a show.

Becky Burgess — Big Brother 17

A bit of a basic competitor. Becky would be a good addition to the Challenge because she showed to be a strong competition during most physical comps on Big Brother 17. She won 2 HoH’s and 1 BotB, and always finished highly. Becky was fun, and is famous for taking a hit from train.

No…not a hit from CT…an actual train.

Any person that has taken a hit from a train would be a solid addition to the Challenge. She’s also easy on the eyes.
